What’s new in 1.2
Open self-guided eDetailers from a web amp
We're thrilled to announce the feature of opening a self-guided eDetailer from a web amp experience. With this it is possible to show relevant product information to the user as part of the conversation in a web amp.
This creates a seamless experience where the eDetailer opens as an overlay and lets the customer stay on the website while getting the guided self-detail experience and additional information they need.
To use this feature, simply use the new node type called “Open” in the amp builder in Amplify.
Re-import eDetailer slides
If there are content, design or other changes to an eDetailer used in an amp, it is now possible to re-import the eDetailer to get the changes and new slides applied to the self-guided eDetailer in Amplify. Where any new slides will be imported as new conversations in the amp, and if an eDetailer slide was previously deleted from the amp, then those deleted slides will re-appear in the conversation panel.
To avoid deleting any potential conversation data, the re-import will not be deleting slides that has been removed from the eDetailer. Therefore, as an editor you will still need to manually delete unneeded slides in the Amplify conversation builder.
To re-import an eDetailer, simply click the “Re-import slides” in the conversation panel of an eDetailer, which is found in the right side of the amp builder page.
Improved support of non-responsive eDetailers
As many eDetailers aren't build using a responsive approach, we have improved the support of non-responsive eDetailers in a self-guided eDetailer experience.
To configure an eDetailer amp to being non-responsive, the editor needs to change the "Responsive Presentation" to "No" in the Amp settings.
Transfer ownership of an organisation
This update makes it possible for an organisation owner to transfer the ownership of the organisation to another existing member.
Other notable improvements
To give trial users more time to test Amplify for their organisation, we’ve extended the trial period to 10 days instead of 5 days as it was before.
Handling of the delay on buttons in a question node has been improved in the amp output, so the editor can correctly control the delay between the rendering of the question and the answer buttons.
We’ve included improvements to the process of copying eDetailer amps, to ensure that all conversations, menus, thumbnails and eDetailer files are copied correctly.
